Recipe Types: Tip or Method

Spring Tart or Tartine with Fresh Herbs

Got asparagus? Or arugula? Or spinach? Or any combination of these? This is a very flexible recipe, if you use puff pastry, you’ll make a tart. If you instead broil up a buttered slice of bread and you’ll make a tartine. The rest is simply eggs, and herbs of choice. Use your imagination and enjoy this quick and simple meal option!

Upside Down Beet Tarts

A yummy experiment – Beets go into the muffin tin with herbed butter and draped with puff pastry. Invert the plate and you’ve got some cute little insta-tarts! In this little number you are free to mix up the herbs, and even mix up the veggies!

Bibimbap

Bibimbap is a wonderful way to enjoy CSA ingredients of the season, as it’s very flexible depending on what’s in season. Sizzling rice topped with delicious combinations of meat and veggies, an egg and distinctly flavorful sauce in a stone hot pot (optional but recommended) is really something special. The only two pantry ingredients that you might need are Gochujang (available at Asian Markets or well-stocked supermarkets) and sesame oil, and you’ve got yourself a party!
