Hello all! This is our final pickup for the Winter CSA, can you believe it? Amazing how time flies, but I know I am ready to get going with all of the goodness spring has to offer. If you are a spring CSA member you will be hearing from farmer Jamie soon with info about our first pickup. The Cryovac meat this week is from a new (new to us, anyway) processing facility in Connecticut. They are making Liverwurst, Frankfurters, Knockwurst, and more! Do be careful with the packaging as it is a bit more fragile than our standard meat wrapping, one hole in the package and the meat becomes exposed to air, meaning you’l have to use it more quickly. We are so excited to try these new products!
This month was Jess’s meat pickup, looks like a great selection, I’m sure she will be sharing more about these meats in the weeks to come.
