After one of the most challenging growing seasons our state has seen, we have made it all the way to our last pickup of the Springdell Summer CSA. We have enjoyed 20 full weeks of fresh, local produce. Our veggies were picked and our boxes were filled each week by the staff, or our “Springdell Family”. A huge thank you goes out to all who helped make this tough season possible. Your efforts are so appreciated and enjoyed on the tables of all of us.
Let’s take a look at what our final summer share box has to offer:
- 5 acorn squash
- 1 pie pumpkin
- 3 delicata squash
- 1 buttercup squash
- 1 box of Brussels Sprouts
- potataoes
- 12 Empire apples
- 1 bunch of carrots
- 1 bunch of kale
- 3 heads of lettuce
- 2 honey crisp apple totes
We are here at CSA365, bringing you through to the winter share start up in November. This is the time in between shares that we use up some of these squash and dig into our freezers. Springdell remains on our tables year round. So tune in to what we are cooking in the next few weeks and we will pick up with new produce and local products with the start of the Winter Share!
